TEAM NEWS
Just one day after the last home game of the season slammed shut at Croft Park, the players will have to use their reserve energy tank to tackle Newcastle United's Reserves in the Northumberland Senior Cup Final at the home of the Premier League outfit, St James' Park. With the majority of the First team rested in the defeat to Whitby yesterday, manager Tom Wade will be hoping to recall his men to show themselves and the fans that the season can end on a positive note by winning the final and lifting the trophy for the first time since 1994.
Dan Maguire has been struggling with a foot injury but made another late appearance yesterday, in an attempt to regain match fitness for tonight's game. Wade will be hoping to recall players such as Conor Grant, Nathan Buddle and captain Robbie Dale for the final. Facing potential Newcastle United future stars, will be a stern test as Blyth battle for the trophy.
IN THE AWAY DUG OUT
Peter Beardsley - Newcastle United legend, has been in charge of the reserve side since October 2011.
DANGER MAN
Gael Bigirimara - experienced 20 year old Burundian joined Newcastle in 2012 for around £500,000 from Coventry City - has played 13 times for the first team with 1 league goal.
