Blyth Spartans are pleased to confirm that both Rhys Evans and Danny Barlow have extended their contracts with the club for another year.
Evans, 25, has established himself as a fan favourite after joining from Newcastle Benfield in the summer of 2019. The full-back has made 70 appearances in the green-and-white stripes.
He said: "This is a special club. The club is under my skin, and I want to make hundreds of appearances here. I am delighted to be staying for another season.
"The support the fans have shown me and the team since I've arrived here 3 years ago has been amazing. They have turned up in their numbers home and away, even through the toughest of times.
"I can assure you that both the playing and management staff will be working as hard as possible to make sure you have a team to shout about.
"I can't wait to get back playing at Croft Park, see you all soon!"
Barlow, 23, signed from Whickham on a dual-registration transfer in February and has made eleven appearances, scoring once.
After a string of impressive performances, the winger earned a starting spot for the final five league fixtures of the season.
He has said of the contract extension: "I am absolutely delighted to be back and kicking on from where we left off last season.
"We will be working hard from minute one to get us to the right end of the table which is what the fans deserve for their brilliant support."
Manager Terry Mitchell has spoke of his happiness to have both players sign an extension: "I'm delighted that Evans and Barlow have signed on.
"Evans is into his fourth season now. He has always said he wants to stay at Blyth Spartans, and he is determined to help push the club up the league.
"Not only is he a top player, he's also great in the dressing room. He came back strongly from injury and was vital towards the end of the season.
"Barlow had to be patient after he joined, but when he got his chance, he showed what an exciting attacking player he is, and he made a really positive impact.
Hopefully he can use that as a platform to push on next year and add some more goals and assists to his game."
