Nobby at Croft Park?

The club have received a squad listing from Hartlepool United for Wednesday's pre-season friendly (kick off 7pm). The game has been advertised as a Hartlepool United XI as often the squad sent by a League side is made up of trialists and junior players and therefore the club would, quite rightly, not wish to be seen to be misleading supporters as to what they will see at the game.

Having said that, the squad which has been forwarded to us by Hartlepool United for next wednesday's clash is as follows: -

Goalkeepers

Scott Flinders and Andy Rafferty

Defenders

Neil Austin, Steve Haslam, Sam Collins, Peter Hartley, Evan Horwood, Jordon Mellish, Darren Holden and Paul Johnson

Midfielders

Ritchie Humphreys, Nolberto Solano, Paul Murray, Antony Sweeney, Gary Liddle, Jordan Richards, Nathan Luscombe and
Andy Monkhouse

Strikers

Colin Nish, Colin Larkin, James Poole, Callum Hassan, James Brown and Adam Boyd

This means that that is the possibility of seeing former Newcastle United and Peru legend Nobby Solano (pictured left, below) appearing at Croft Park. The game could also feature SpartansFan James Brown (pictured right, below), who was a regular attendee of Spartans matches, both home and away, as a teenager.

Please note that the above is obviously subject to change, especially as Hartlepool are playing Barnsley the night before at Victoria Park, but this is the squad list that has been issued to the club.
