NEAL HOOKS - JANUARY 2011

The month of January has seen the Spartans play no fewer than eight matches, whilst their form at the start of the month was good, the results didn't reflect the level of the Spartans play (with one draw and two defeats from their opening three fixtures). The remaining five games have seen the Spartans record five victories, helped in no small part by the form of Port of Blyth Player of the Month Neal Hooks.

The 23-year-old's constant showing for the ball and metronomic passing have been evident all season, but in recent games the midfielder has added goals to the guile, notching three crucial strikes in successive games (Hyde, Gainsborough Trinity and Stafford Rangers).
