Blyth Spartans face their penultimate pre-season fixture on Saturday afternoon as they go to Belle View Stadium to take on Consett AFC.

The Spartans had a night to forget on Tuesday as they lost the inaugural Gateway Cup to local rivals Blyth Town 4-0.

Spartans announced another pre-season fixture on Wednesday, July 24, that will take place on Saturday, August 3, as Blyth will face Hebburn Town at Hebburn Sports Ground.

Consett AFC play their trade in the Northern Premier League Division One East where they managed a 12th placed finish last season, winning 14 of their 38 matches.

In pre-season, they have played six matches, winning twice, drawing once and suffering defeat three times.

Most recently they were held to a goalless draw against Birtley Town following their 2-1 win at home over Annfield Plain.
