Team News
Nicky Deverdics sustained an injury on Saturday afternoon away to Boston United which forced him to be withdrawn in the first half and is expected to miss the fixture at Croft Park against Farsley Celtic.
JJ O'Donnell's concussion protocol period is now up and will be in contention to feature against Farsley, however, caution may be taken to ease him back into action. JJ Hooper and Lewis Knight are expected to miss out on Tuesday night's action.
What We're Saying
Following a 3-1 defeat on the road against Boston United, Graham Fenton said: "I thought we were wasteful in possession at times, I thought we gave it away too cheaply and in hot conditions it turns the game really difficult.
"So, they're a decent team and they always pose a threat with the lads they've got up top, but the manner of the defeat is what is really hurting.
"And that is everybody, not just me, Jon [Shaw] and Devs [Nicky Deverdics], it's everybody in there."
Opposition
In their last outing, the Celt Army drew 0-0 at home to Kings Lynn Town as they currently eleventh in the National League North table on 10 points, two points behind Blyth.
Last season they finished one place above the relegation zone in twentieth position, level on points with Blyth (50) having an identical record to the Spartans (12 wins, 14 draws and 20 losses).
Last Time We Met
In their last meeting, which was at The Citadel in April, Blyth won 2-0 after a second-half double from Jordan Hickey secured the three points for the travelling Spartans.
At Croft Park that season, the match finished in a 1-1 draw after Lewis McNall's 92nd-minute equaliser rescued a point for Graham Fenton's side.
The Spartans have a good record against Farlsey at Croft Park as they are unbeaten in their last five outings; three wins and two draws, stemming back to 2009.
