Team News

Corey McKeown remains doubtful due to a thigh strain, with Toby Lees definitely missing as he continues his recovery from a fractured cheekbone.

Opposition

Last season Guiseley reached the First round of the FA Cup, where they lost 1-0 away at League Two side AFC Wimbledon after a goal from Ollie Palmer in the 44th minute.

Guiseley, who were relegated from the National League North last season, currently sit 15th in the Northern Premier League having won one of their first four league games.

What We're Saying

Speaking ahead of our first cup game of the season, Graham Fenton said: "Yeah absolutely (looking forward to the FA Cup) that is what this football club is all about.

We've had a really good run previously. We are just really looking forward to it, we want to have a cup run this year.

Ultimately it's an opportunity for the lads to play and stick themselves forward and say I've got an understanding of what myself and Andy want. We've got to be a little more patient with them and understand it takes a bit of time but Saturday is another opportunity to go and win the game and get in the hat."

Last Time We Met

Blyth Spartans faced Guiseley last year in the FA Cup third qualifying round last year at Nethermoor Park where the Spartans were defeated 1-0 and knocked out of the FA Cup.

Being in the same league as Guiseley they also faced The Lions twice in the National League North, where Blyth won 1-0 at Croft Park, but suffered a 3-1 defeat in the reverse fixture at Nethermoor Park.
