Programme Preview vs Buxton
Thursday, 20 August 2015
Blyth Spartans made it two wins out of two in the league with a win against Whitby Town on Tuesday night but now face a side in equally as impressive form.
Buxton make the trip up from Derbyshire on Saturday, also with six points already in the bag, and will provide tough opposition for Spartans who were 3-2 winners during the week.
Darlington 1883 and Ramsbottom United have both failed to get past Buxton's stern defence, who are yet to concede a goal, while last season's top scorer Liam Hardy has two goals in as many games.
The Bucks look strong, and Spartans fans can read up on the club in Saturday's official Matchday Magazine.
There is an extensive Today's Visitors section, while usual columns from Ian Evans, Ken Sproat and Malcolm Stephenson return.
Luke Bidwell also has an extensive review of the weekend's matches in Elsewhere in the Evo-Stik.
Details of the recent Patrick O'Connell Memorial Fund event in Belfast, which had a strong link with Blyth Spartans, are also in this week's edition and a new feature, Spartans A-Z, makes its debut.
Programmes can be bought from the usual places at a price of just £2.
