Quantum Elite Spartans training kit auction a big success

Thursday, 23 July 2015

Quantum Elite, proud sponsors of Blyth Spartans, have donated £1,300 to the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation after a season of fundraising with the support of the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League club.

A cheque was presented to Liz Luff, from the Foundation, by Quantum Elite's Brian and Lissa Delf and was partly funded by an auction of Blyth Spartans training shirts brandishing both the charity logo and that of the North Tyneside based law firm.

After receiving the cheque Luff spoke warmly of the generosity shown by Quantum Elite, Spartans and their supporters.

She said "The support from Blyth Spartans and its sponsors, Quantum Elite, has been incredible this year.

"The club's Sir Bobby Robson Foundation training shirts have been worn by the players during a very memorable season and we've been proud to see our name alongside the Spartans badge.

"Our thanks to everyone involved in raising money for the charity over the last year and especially the fans who generously bid for the player's shirts at the end of the season.

"The £1,300 raised will help us continue the work Sir Bobby began when he launched his charity and will directly benefit cancer patients in the North East and Cumbria."

Those thoughts were echoed by Brian Delf of Quantum Elite, who also extended his thanks to Spartans manager Tom Wade.

Wade grew a mustache last year as part of the annual fundraising and that appeared in various media outlets during the club's historic run to the Third Round of the FA Cup.

Delf commented "Quantum Elite would like to thank the Blyth Spartans Board, Management, Players and members of the Blyth Green Army for their support in helping to raise £1,300.00 for the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation.

Quantum Elite have, over the past season been raising money by way of auctions, raffles, Ice bucket challenges and finally concluding in the auctioning of the Blyth Spartans 'Quantum Elite/Sir Bobby Robson Foundation Training Kit at the end of the season presentation night, other contributions included that from Manager Tom Wade who endured some ridicule during the famous FA Cup Run for his Movember"

Further announcements are expected about a continuation of the partnership between Quantum Elite, Blyth Spartans and the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation
