Report | Spartans draw 4-4 at Kettering

Saturday, 16 November 2019

Blyth Spartans surrendered a 3-0 half-time lead to draw 4-4 with Kettering Town in National League North.

A double from Callum Roberts and a volley from Ryan Hutchinson had Lee Clark's side cruising at half-time until an indescribable second-half unfolded.

Kettering unnerved the Spartans defence from two corners as Michael McGarth and Luke Graham bundled the ball home.

Roberts soon completed his hat-trick - running the full length of the field - to give the visitors a two-goal cushion. That should have killed the game off.

However, back the hosts came. Lindon Meikle making it 4-3 before substitute Dre Mitford levelled proceedings in the 90th-minute.
