Spartans Chairman - Club Statement
Friday, 7 February 2025

Blyth Spartans are pleased to announce that following the resignation of Martin Trinder last week, the Board has appointed Kevin Miles as Chairman of the football club.
We are also pleased to confirm that Martin Trinder will continue to serve as an active member of the club's Board of Directors.
Martin Trinder said,
After much consideration I've decided my business and personal workload is starting to suffer with the amount of work I have done in the club. My main aim was achieved in bringing the CIC together in order to save the club and while I realise that relegation is looming, we still have a club which is important to me as a fan as well as being a Blyth lad. I hope everyone carries on supporting the football club and the team. Congratulations to Kevin and best of luck taking on the role
Kevin Miles said,
Everyone at the club is very grateful to Martin for his tireless contribution to ensuring the survival of the club, and I look forward to working alongside him and the rest of the Board in the months and years to come. It is a huge honour and responsibility to be appointed Chairman of the famous Blyth Spartans, and I am excited to take on the role as we rebuild a club of which the whole town and community can be proud
The Board will be issuing their first quarterly report on the progress of the club in the next few days.
