Spartans in The Non-League Paper
Friday, 13 January 2012
The Non-League Paper will be at the Triton Showers Community Arena on Saturday to see if Blyth Spartans can pick up a first league win since September when they take on Nuneaton Town.
Spartans are currently bottom of the Conference North and already find themselves 12 points from safety. They need to start turning things round and fast or they will soon be staring Step 3 football in the face.
New signing Shaun Utterson will be in their squad and boss Tommy Cassidy will be hoping the midfielder's arrival from America can inspire his side ahead of the game.
Nuneaton, who lie fourth in the league, will prove tough opposition for the Spartans but have struggled for form in their last three games, picking up just two points.
It's a great opportunity for the Spartans to pick up a much-needed victory but Boro will be eager to get back to winning ways themselves and strengthen their position in the play-off places.
It should be a cracking Step 2 encounter and The NLP have therefore selected it as their Conference North feature game this weekend.
That means a 450-word report, the best pictures from the game and plenty of post-match reaction.
So for quality coverage of Blyth's crucial clash with Nuneaton, make sure you pick up a copy of The NLP from your local stockist on Sunday!
