Green Army plan tribute to legend Bell

Blyth Spartans supporters are planning a poignant tribute to former striker Scott Bell during Friday night's FA Cup Second Round tie against Hartlepool United. Bell became a firm Croft Park favourite as he plundered 50 goals in 125 appearances during a three year spell with the club between 2004 and 2007.
The played dubbed "Bellvechio" by the Green Army passed away in October 2013 after a courageous battle against Motor Neurone Disease and he will be remembered by the travelling band of Spartans supporters in the opening stages of the cup tie that will be shown live on BBC2.
During the tenth minute of the match the Green Army plan to sing the "Scotty Bellvechio" song that regularly rang around Croft Park as Bell played his part in one of the most historic eras the club has seen.
The club are delighted that our supporters have chosen to honour Scott in such a way and are fully behind such a wonderful gesture
