Blyth Spartans can announce the signing of Darlington midfielder Paul Robinson.

Robinson, 29 years old, started his career at York City, before moving onto Newcastle Blue Star. He then enjoyed a very successful time at Whitley Bay where he was dubbed the 'Hillheads Maradona', picking up three FA Vase winners medals along the way.
A former teammate of current Spartans Rob Dale, Ian Watson and Ash Davis it is hoped that the classy ball playing central midfielder will settle in quickly at Croft Park, but he could be in for a quick return to Hertitage Park (the temporary home of Darlington) as he could make his debut for the club away to Darlington in tomorrow night's Doodson Sports Cup tie.
Paul has been a long term target of the Spartans for various managers in the past and manager Tom Wade was happy to have finally secured his signature "I'm delighted that Paul has joined, he's a player who I have admired for a long time. He's got experience and brings quality and a goalscoring threat to the midfield."
"We've now got an excellent blend of players in midfield and I think Robbo will enhance this, as well as bringing on some of the younger lads."
"I would also like to express my thanks to Martin Gray, Harry Dunn and everyone at Darlington for their conduct in ensuring the transfer was completed smoothly."
Welcome to the club Robbo!
