Spartans Start Senior Cup Campaign Against Terriers
Wednesday, 2 November 2016
Blyth Spartans have been drawn at home to Northern League side Bedlington Terriers in the quarter-finals of this season's Techflow Group Senior Cup.
The tie will see Spartans come up against former manager Paddy Atkinson, who is now in charge at the Doctor Pit Welfare Park. Jason Jones - who featured for Blyth during his playing career - will also make a return as a member of Atkinson's backroom staff.
Spartans have reached each of the last three finals of this competition - which included their first Senior Cup win in 21 years, when they beat Morpeth Town 2-0 in the 2014/15 final - so will surely look to make a return to St James' Park for a fourth consecutive year this season.
The date of this tie is yet to be arranged.
