Spartans vs Grantham Town Programme Preview

Tuesday, 12 August 2014

This Saturday sees the return of the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League to Croft Park, and up first are Lincolnshire side Grantham Town.

Grantham last visited Croft Park back in September of last year, with Spartans running out eventual 2-1 winners. Nathan Buddle's own goal had given the away side the lead, but goals from Dan Maguire and Robbie Dale gave the hosts all three points.

Dale's 88th minute penalty secured the win that continued Blyth's good start to the campaign, something they'll be eager to replicate this term.

In this week's programme, Ian Evans and Malcolm Stephenson return with their regular columns, whilst Colin Myers takes responsibility of Manager's Notes, or in this case, Assistant Manager's Notes, in Tom Wade's absence.

The 'look' of the programme has been refreshed and there are several new, exciting elements.

We have our first entry in Spartans Abroad, and look out in case you are featured in Face in the Crowd.

Left-back Ian Watson takes on a supporter and member of staff in our new feature Question Time, which isn't to be missed, and Rory Mitchinson gives us the lowdown of all the league's new clubs as we enter the 2014/15 season.

Club Historian Ken Sproat has a look back into the history books, and you'll find everything you need to know about Grantham Town. This, and much, much more is all included in Saturday's matchday programme.

It will be available for just £2 from usual places, so be sure not to miss out!
