The award for the SpartansFans player of the month goes to new boy Richard Pell.

The towering centre back, signed from Blue Square North side Gainsborough Trinity has impressed in all the games so far as the Spartans have enjoyed a better than expected start to the season, forming a solid defensive unit with Gareth Williams and new 'keeper Mark Bell.

Richard average 7.83 for the month and picked up the 'Star Man' award for his performance against Solihull Moors on the opening day.

The player in second place is captain Gareth Williams who averaged 7.60 for the month.
