Spartans Sign Colourful Duo
Friday, 11 February 2011
With Blyth's continued run in the FA Trophy and with games to play in league coming thick and fast up to the end of the season, manager Mick Tait has moved to secure two additional faces to ease the load on the current squad.
JOSH GRAY
Attacker Josh Gray, 19, arrives from Blue Square Bet Premier side Darlington on a month's loan. He has featured 13 times for Darlington this season.
A winger who can also play up front, the 6 foot 1 attacker has racked up over 40 appearances for the Quakers in his career to date.
ALAN WHITE
The second signing is hugely experienced defender Alan White, 34, who arrives having recently been released by upcoming FA Trophy opponents Gateshead.
In a long Football League career White played over 400 league games and featured for the likes of Middlesbrough, Luton Town, Darlington and Colchester United. He also has experience of the Blue Sqaure North having featured earlier this season for Stalybridge Celtic.
