Staff Departures
Monday, 9 December 2024
Blyth Spartans can confirm that Head of Medical, Gary Neasham, and Goalkeeper Coach, Tom Read, have departed the club.
'Neash', a popular figure amongst players, staff and fans of the club, originally joined Spartans in 2004/05 and spent five years at the club, before returning in 2018. Across his two spells, he's clocked over 600 games for the club, working under 12 managers in the process. He's even had one game as interim-manager alongside former-coach Ian Aitken in August 2022.
Read also departs the club following his arrival as goalkeeper coach this summer, and played a key role in bringing the likes of Harrison Bond and Adam Richardson into the club.
The club would like to thank both for their contributions to the club, and we wish them all the very best for the future.
