Supporters Stall a Success

Sunday, 24 July 2011

The Spartans Supporters Club were present at Blyth's Market's National Market Traders Day on Saturday and the day was a great success. The idea had been to make sales of club merchandise and to run a raffle but most importantly to get the football club's name out into the community and be visable.
The club did make some money from the event but it was noticable how many people commented on how nice it was that we were there and many wanted to chat about the club and not just the old days but where the club is looking to go in the future. We were able to promote not just the new season and hand out fixture lists but also to help promote the Social Club's rock nights which are very good and a must for those who love rock music.
The Supporters Club will be doing this again when Blyth's Christmas Lights are switched on in late November when we hope to again promote the club and sell some Christmas presents to the fans. We would also like to thank the Events Manager Paul Taylor for his help and support in the last few months leading up this event and we look forward to working with him in the future.
The raffle results were as follows:-
1st Prize - Spartans Teddy Bear Ticket 71-75

2nd Prize - Signed Shirt Ticket 46-50

3rd/6th Prizes - Match Tickets Tickets 166-170, 111-115, 246-250 and 51-55

All prizes have been claimed thanks to all for their support.
