Tom talks - after the Barwell game

"We played with pace, enthusiasm, energy and commitment," said Spartans manager Tom Wade after his side's 1-1 draw at Croft Park against Barwell on Tuesday evening.
He added: "The only thing missing was better finishing.
"We played really well at times and our work rate was outstanding. We scored a fantastic goal through Jarrett [Rivers] and by half an hour in to the game we should have been out of sight. Barwell were hanging on and only breaking now and again, posing us little threat. Their equaliser was a disappointing goal to give away but I told the lads that our unbeaten run continues and that sometimes a point can be a massive point. We will just keep on going and if we can get back to winning ways at Ramsbottom on Thursday and at home to Stourbridge at the weekend we can go on a successful run.
"No doubt about it, we will create a lot of chances in games and if we keep working hard we will do well."
Wade picked out Daniel Maguire and Michael Richardson as the epitome of what he meant.
"Nipa's [Maguire's] non-stop play was incredible, "he said. "He was like a little lad playing Under 11 football. So full of life. Michael also put in an amazing shift. He inspires other players to work hard too. Overall we just need to take a breath sometimes in front of goal but you have to accept that some chances will be missed."
