Tom talks - after the Nantwich game

"It was a great win for us against an excellent footballing side," said Blyth manager Tom Wade following his side's 2-1 win at Nantwich Town on Saturday.
He continued: "Nantwich have a great blend of experience and youngsters and they gave us a tough game. It was always going to be difficult as their goalscoring record is fantastic. It was a long trip to Cheshire and we arrived a bit late which didn't help us and it meant they made a brighter start than we did. They took the game to us early on and you have to give credit to them, they had us hanging on after they scored in the early stages. We had a mountain to climb but after the first 15 minutes we were superb and scored a well worked goal to equalise.
"After the break we dominated most of the game and won the match with an excellent header. I have to say that we also defended really well when we needed to.
"It was simply a great game of football."
The Spartans boss was impressed with debutant Wilson Kneeshaw.
"Wilson was excellent, especially in the first half when he came close to scoring on a few occasions. His movement was superb and he'll go on to be a very good player for us."
Blyth hope to have injured players Daniel Maguire, Sean Reid and Andrew Cartwright fit enough to take a seat on the bench for Saturday's game at home to Grantham.
