Tom talks - after the Stourbridge game
Monday, 21 September 2015
Blyth manager Tom Wade was pragmatic following his side's 3-0 defeat at Stourbridge on Saturday.
"We were beaten. You have to take it in the chin. There's no point making excuses. Stourbridge had a game plan to hit the ball down the channels and play percentage football and we couldn't handle it.
"It's the first game this season were we didn't stand up to that kind of tactic. Only Nantwich have played football against us.
"We were bossing the game before Stourbridge pinched a goal. Even after that we were comfortable and creating chances. We hit the bar and played some nice passing football but then got caught with a sucker punch. A long shot was parried away by Fabian [Otte] in our goal and fell nicely for Richards to tap it in. For the third goal we made three mistakes which proved fatal.
"On refection they did job on us although one or two of our lads had an off day . We have to start dictating games more."
