Tom talks - after the Stranraer game

Spartans' manager Tom Wade was pleased with his side's showing in Saturday's game against Stranraer .
"It was a good game," he said. "Stranraer's manager told me that they were going to treat the match as their first proper game of their season. They played their youngsters at Shildon on Friday night but put out a really strong side against us.
"We played Robbie Dale up front in a very tough first half, although he has been doing unbelievably well on the left. After the break we played Robbie in his usual role and changed the middle of our midfield to a more attacking one but that meant we left gaps, which Stranraer exploited. But our fitness levels were good and considering that we were missing the likes of Nathan Buddle, Aaron Wearmouth, Dan Hawkins and Dan Maguire we were very competitive. They will be back from holiday for the St. Mirren game at the weekend although Matty Wade will be missing, attending his sister's wedding.
"In the meantime we play at Seaton Delaval on Tuesday. They are a great club with which we have an excellent relationship."
