Town made us work says Utterson

Reflecting on Spartans 1-0 FA Cup win over Garforth Town, Shaun Utterson feels that his side didn't underestimate their opposition but were made to work hard in difficult conditions. A scrappy game was somewhat ruined by high temperatures but Utterson feels that Town should take great credit for their attitudes. He said "In tricky conditions with it being so hot and coming up against a hardworking team it was a tough game. It was their cup final coming up here and they made it hard for us, no doubt about it. We knew they would work hard but also that if we played to our potential we would get the win and that's what happened."
After spending much of last season playing in a midfield role Utterson has made the right back position his own this term but was forced back into a role in the engine room of the Spartans side when Sam Hodgson was replaced. Utterson commented "It was tough in there because it was a long afternoon out wide as it was. We were trying to give them problems and track their runners but I'll do a job anywhere if I need too but I'm just looking forward to the next round."
