Blyth Spartans v Whitley Bay Reserves (Friendly)
Monday, 17 October 2011
The club can announce that there is a trial/practise game taking place at Croft Park on Wednesday (Kick off 7pm). Entry to the game will be free of charge and is open to everyone to attend.
Manager Steve Cuggy commented "We will be playing Whitley Bay Reserves, who I know well from my time at Hillheads. The game will probably just be 30 minutes each way, but will hopefully prove useful to me and Gavin.
"It gives us the opportunity to give some of the lads coming back from injury, like Phil Bannister, Richard Offiong and Glen Taylor, a bit of run out. We also feel it will also be beneficial to give the likes of Richard Slaughter, Sebastian Anzevui, Lee Mason and Matty Crook a game to keep up their sharpness, rather than them just attending the training sessions.
"If there are any fans who fancy heading across to watch the game, they will be more than welcome to attend."
The club have also arranged for the Social Club to be open from 6.30 should supporters wish to purchase refreshments.
