Under-19s | Join our Zoom meeting with Michael Nelson
Friday, 26 February 2021
Blyth Spartans AFC manager Michael Nelson is hosting a Zoom meeting next week for anyone interested in joining our under-19s team, in collaboration with Tyne Metropolitan College.
Formed in 2019, our exciting partnership will see students represent Spartans in the National Youth Alliance for the 2021-22 season, while undertaking a vocational course at Tyne Met.
Here are just some of the benefits to the courses offered:
- Further your education
- Develop your sporting passion alongside academic success
- Up to 10 hours training and competitive matches each week
- Train like a professional with personalised programmes delivered by expert coaches
- Individually tailored strength and conditioning programmes
Former Hartlepool United and Norwich City defender Nelson is in charge of both the senior team and under-19s, creating a unique and clear pathway for students to represent one of the North East's most historic clubs.
Jamie Clark and Morgan Dart have both made their debuts for Blyth in National League North - the sixth-tier of English football - while a number of students have trained with the first-team and been given invaluable matchday experience.
Michael Nelson will hold a virtual meeting on Monday, March 1st, 2021 at 7pm to provide an insight into the football side of the under-19s programme.
If you're interested in joining our Zoom call, please email [email protected] to book your place. Details on how to access the meeting will then be sent to you on the day.
