Vacancy for Press Officer
Wednesday, 13 June 2012
Blyth Spartans are on the lookout for a match reporter.
This is an exciting and rewarding voluntary opportunity to work with Northumberland's top non-league club which is also steeped in history and famous throughout football.
The role would be ideal for someone with an interest in football and the media.
Primary duties include dealing with media contacts on match day and writing a match report for publication on the club's website and in a local newspaper.
Other duties can include interviewing players and management, drafting press releases, writing general articles on events at the club and contributing articles to the Match Programme.
The Blyth Spartans Press Officer will have free entry to both home and away games as well as complimentary travel on the team coach.
This is a fantastic chance for any aspiring journalist, or simply an enthusiastic supporter with writing skills, to make an important contribution to the club, to develop new skills and to build up regional contacts in the press.
