MAN OF THE MATCH
Dan Groves
Dan Groves was the one player in a green and white jersey who could hold his head high when walking off the pitch on the full-time whistle after an utterly abysmal performance by Spartans on Merseyside. A typically energetic performance from Groves did not go unnoticed by Blyth manager Tommy Cassidy who singled out the right back for a special mention after the game, saying: "As always Dan didn't let me down today and was probably the only one who had a decent game."
