Watson on trial with the Buddies
Monday, 6 July 2015
Blyth Spartans left back Jordan Watson is on trial at Scottish Championship club St Mirren.
Watson, who joined Spartans after his release from Sunderland in August 2014, will spend the week training with the Buddies, meaning he is unavailable for Tuesday night's pre-season friendly with Carlisle United.
Spartans boss Tom Wade praised the former Northern Ireland Under-19 international and admitted he didn't want to lose him.
"It's a good opportunity for Jordan. He has come out of the pro game and his attitude has been fantastic. He is on trial at a good club and he will be well looked after. Obviously we don't want to lose him because he is a key player for us but we will see what happens"
