TEAM NEWS
Spartans continued our winning streak with a hard-battled 1-0 victory over Workington at Croft Park on Boxing Day, which pushed Blyth up to 16th in the league standing, still with an average of 5 games on the surrounding teams. A win at the Turnbull Ground could not only see The Green Army move up another 3 places, also leap frog the opponents in doing so.
Robbie Dale scored the winning penalty at Blyth on Friday afternoon, he will be looking to mirror his past performances against Whitby Town, as in both last seasons trip to The Seasiders and earlier in this campaign, saw him score 'screamers' past the team in blue and white. This will be the last game played for Blyth before the big FA Cup tie with Birmingham at Croft Park next weekend.
