Spartans will travel to Worksop Town tomorrow night hoping to inflict a Halloween horror on the Tigers as Paddy Atkinson will hope his side will give him two wins in a week following Saturday's 4-2 win over Frickley Athletic. That win brought to an end a nightmare run of form for Spartans and they will look to leave Nottinghamshire in good spirits.

The win over Frickley saw the end of a devilish injury crisis with the return of three key figures for Spartans as Joe Kendrick started the game and both Carl Jones and Phil Airey appeared from the substitutes bench, meaning they are no longer playing with a skeleton squad. Airey came on and hit two ghouls...I mean goals in the space of eight minutes and looked lively, which will hopefully send a chill down the spines of the Worksop defence. Airey's brace was the one of several this season by Spartans this season but they still await their first hat-trick of the season, that would be a treat tomorrow night. Jordon Mellish will face a late fitness test as he looks to return from a facial injury sustained in the FA Cup fixture at home to Workington.

The Tigers come into the game sitting in eighth position having won three, lost three and drawn one of their seven home fixtures this season. Their last Evo-Stik Northern Premier League fixture saw them win 3-0 at Buxton and at the weekend they secured progression in the FA Trophy with a 1-0 win at Halesowen Town. They haven't conceded a goal in nearly 335 minutes of football since a Nathan Mulligan goal ensured Whitby Town left Worksop with all three points in a 1-0 win.

Spartans in quotes

Phil Airey-

"It's great to be back training with the lads but there's nothing like playing. Hopefully we can now get back on form and get a few wins to help us get back up that table"

Lee Mason-

"Hopefully we can take this into Wednesday and get a win down at Worksop. It won't be easy but we have to take confidence from today"
